If you ask me, the mentality of the folks at Audio Note is akin to the mentality of the jackasses who go around saying how MP3's played through earbuds is the future of recorded music, and that's all anyone really needs. Now, don't hold back... tell us how you really feel! ;D BTW, if you ask the marketing departments of manufacturers of portable music devices (iPods and the like) they will absilliutely* say that the future of recorded music is MP3s... * I coined this word to mean "certainly stupidly"...

(I know, I know, I offended some of you Pringles junkies but oh, well)

Pringles are good, but they don't even start to compare to Tim's Cascade potato chips

Pringles are my go-to hotel room snack, mainly because of the can.

All the prognosticators have been forecasting the end of this or that for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Children's stories even condition our children to buy into "The Sky if Falling... the sky is falling". The truth of the matter is that there is room for all the different speaker designs and appropriate power amps for each category; and there always will be. There is no single solution that is right for everybody, thank goodness. Long live Emotiva.

Perhaps its a generational thing? i.e. Cadillac's aren't being sold or marketed to Gen Y'ers. Sure the market has enough room for an overwhelming range of speakers and amps, but still, the prospect of an Emotiva tube amp (maintaining the themes of affordability and performance) intrigues me. Until then, I'm keeping my xpa2.

There's also nothing wrong with using a 500wpc amp and 96db speakers. Nothing wrong with that at all. My thoughts exactly.

There is something supremely beautiful about a 30-pound transformer for those of us who appreciate their brutality. As long as you have enough ice packs for the boys and your back of course when moving the amps. Djoel
