His next directing project is supposedly another Howard Hughes bio-pic.

I didnt like The dark knight rises. Too long, pretty boring and slow. And I thought Bane was boring villan. He has nothing on the Joker. The Dark Knight was 100 times better.
I wonder if there will be a Robin spin off now

That's exactly how I felt about The Dark Knight. ;D I fell asleep every time I watched it, took me 3 times to get through the whole movie.

I wonder if there will be a Robin spin off now Bane is a totally different type of villain than the Joker. He is a terrorist with a purpose while joker is a total lunatic that wants to just create chaos and anarchy. Two different types of movies will result as you pursue those two different types of villains in a story. Not saying one is better than another, just different and should be judged differently.

I went to see it Saturday night. I thought the movie was really long for the content displayed. Bane's voice was a little muffled to me but was still able to understand it. I think they will do 1 more or have a spin off as everyone might be thinking. Overall the movie was ok kinda slow and not much action sequences as I had expected. The last 20-25 minutes was pretty kick ass though.

I liked the first one. The second one was too long and boring ;D

My only major criticism is that bane's voice sounded too muffled in the theater. It was an IMAX one so I was a little surprised if in fact if came through final mixing like that. That was my criticism as well. While I could hear about 90% of what he said, my wife could hardly make out what he was saying. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie. Everyone keeps comparing Bane to the Joker, but they are completely different types of villains as was previously said. Bane was a nice change of pace IMO.

I saw it yesterday afternoon and also thought Bane's voice was a bit of a mess. Overall I liked the movie, it was more than just a mindless action movie. Better than the first one, but I think I liked the second one better. I'll probably see it again.

Just finished seeing it tonite. My daughter, who actually really liked the Dark Night, did not care for this one at all. Her response was not nearly enough action and way too slow moving. I think I have to agree with her although overall I thought it was ok. I think they could have done a bit more with catwoman to make the entire movie more interesting. It seemed like a total sideline with nothing to really draw you into what she was doing until the final scenes.
I think a movie based on Robin is a given.

I really liked the effect of the wheels on the BatBike when it did a 180 or slid to a stop in a turn. It was a good movie, more of an epic than an action movie. It was a little slow, if you had expectations, they probably weren't met.
I thought Joseph Gordon Levitt really rose to the occasion. He "looked" the part perfectly. I look forward to his next appearance.
The truth of the matter is that after Heath Ledger's Joker, there is nothing that would have measured up.
That said, I enjoyed it.

I loved the side stories that some must have found boring. From where Baine destroys Batman to his eventual "rise" from prison was an amazing piece of story for a comic book movie. All in all, not on level with the Dark Knight, but a wonderful close to a trilogy that in my mind deserves to be discussed with the best of them.

I understand that it was the point, but it seems those that found it boring must not have enjoyed it for that very reason as it made the movie slow and less action packed. The movie was first and formost telling a story of death and hope, which I loved especially in this genre.

I am so a super hero fan. I want to see this Batman movie. Just waiting for the crowds to lessen a bit. ;D I want a great story vs. necessarily allot of action. I think I have seen enough over action, but poor character development. Hopefully I will enjoy the story as well as the other parts of this movie.

Vincent, I think you are pretty safe going at anytime now. I went with the family last night at what is normally the 7PM primetime showing and there were less than 30 people in the largest auditorium. I have found that if I want to see it on the largest screen with the best playback system it is best to go before it gets moved into one of the auditoriums with the smaller screens.

JD, I've been thinking the same as Vincent, so you've cinched it for me going this weekend.
