I'll do my best to post more photos within the next couple days...I have to return to my duty as husband, Dad, FLL Coach, Scout Leader, and remain employed before I get to them.
I did get a couple more pix of equipment and of the people and bands. I will upload them as soon as I can!

So.. I wonder is the XPA-1L the same as a UPA-1? (Which really was an XPA class amp) I've been outta the loop but I think it's an XPA-1 module with less capacitance and perhaps less output devices. I'LL BUY to pair with XMC-1 Just like UPA-1 I'll buy seven or more of them... (true monoblock BELIEVER) LOL FRIGGIN Awesome!

Haven't seen a UMC200 pic and found one I had gotten: What is the UMC200 all about? Is it a TI based unit based on the XMC-1 mainboard but smaller formfactor?

You can read all about the new products posted by klinemj in this thread a few pages back solidstate. The umc200 uses Cirrus, no xlr outs, not balanced, has bluetooth and (I think) HDMI 1.4 . It's not based on the xmc-1. There is a umc-500 that looks like an upgraded UMC at $1000.
Sorbe: the xpa-1 l is fully balanced and does 30 watts class A sound (three times that the xpa-1 does).

Please excuse my ignorance here guys, but I am still not sold on the idea of why to buy a media server. Is it to eliminate the need to have a computer as a server? If that is the case, the idea of a media server would be best implemented if it was able to also rip the media to its internal drive (and/or external drives attached to it). Even if it were a proprietary codec for DVDs and BDs (to eliminate piracy), I would still be in. Without the ripping capability, I don't see how owning one would be any more beneficial than an Oppo (and to a lesser extent, the PS3) with an external drive hooked up. This was addressed. There will be no ripping compatibility. To much liability. The point is to havr a player that can stream all formats to a remote location. The PlayStation cannot decode all formats. This will also stream internet feeds and will like include a touchscreen according to Lonnie. This is fine for me. I have a computer with all my music on it that can be accessed fRom within my network to easily stream content.

Owhh wow it's class A. That would be great for active xover for the tweeter section on a bi/tri amp rig! You know the biggest change I've ever heard in a system was when the passives were removed for a full DSP xover with amps driving each section of a two/threeway.

Haven't seen a UMC200 pic and found one I had gotten: What is the UMC200 all about? Is it a TI based unit based on the XMC-1 mainboard but smaller formfactor? No TI. Still Cirrus. New hdmi board. Some details in Dan's post. We are using s completely new HDMI signal path in the UMC-200. It will support HDMI v1.4 with 3D, ARC and CEC. It is based on the latest Analog Devices components and it is rock solid. Decoding is via a pair of dual core, 32 bit floating point DSP's from Cirrus. I promises to be a very solid unit and totally stable. Cheers, Big Dan What is the projected price of that combo? UMC-200/UPA-700
