Hopefully it'll be in time to use that nice 10% off card that came during the Holidays. Then sell the XPA-1s.

What 10% off card?
During the holidays I bought an XPA-2, XDA-2, and an ET-3. I didn't get any card.

Maybe it was the same thing as the holiday deal. I dunno.

Some people were mailed a 10% off card good until 2/15/13 I think; I haven't heard the logic for who got them and who didn't (I didn't).

Emo mails Christmas cards each year to some folks (I've gotten at least 3). The offer was to start on the 15th of January as soon as the Holiday Sale ended. Not good with other offers, etc.

I'm waiting for these, if too pricey maybe an XPA-2 but really interested in the 1L's I am trying to remember what the anticipated price was set at during last year's Emofest, but I think it was something like $649. I did a quick scan of my notes from attending, but I did not write down anything about pricing. Maybe some of the other Lounge members who attended the last Emofest will have the pricing information in their notes.

According to the definitive EmoFest 2012 Product Notes & Updates thread, the projected price was $699. I haven't heard whether these made it on the boat prior to the beginning of Chinese New Year. In any case, I'm sure they'll be here soon.

That wouldn't seem to be much of a surprise.

Well, at the expected price of $699 each they will be $300 less than the XPA-1, so you would save $600 bucks in a stereo set-up. Looks very tempting!!!

699$ would be very nice, but im afraid the price will exceed the projected price like the XPR's did.. Eh? I don't recall the original estimated price on the XPR-5, but the XPR-1/2 models did not exceed projected price. Projected price of XPR-1 & XPR-2: $1,699Actual price of XPR-2: $1,699 Actual price of XPR-1: $1,499

Ah ha! However, that info is from Emofest 2010. Nevertheless, it was information provided to us by Emotiva at the event, so it should stand. Just remember that the XPRs were not actually released until mid and late 2012. Lots of things can change in that amount of time, including the economy. With the XPA-1L, it was announced at Emofest 2012 with a targeted release being this month (or perhaps March). My only point is that the accuracy should be better for the XPA-1L because significantly less time has elapsed between announcement and release.

With regard to the pricing of the XPR series amps, you need to remember that during 2011/2012 Emotiva reported that wages and shipping charges from China had nearly doubled. This was reported during various Podcasts. With this knowledge in hand, you could not expect any of the projected pricing to remain at the level projected prior to the enormous increase in wages and shipping costs.
