Wow, they look so much cleaner w/o the AL on the sides... I removed the trim within minutes of them being out of the boxes ;D

I'll email Emo about the screw issue. Just wonder what that could be. Maybe a different batch.....

You got your new amps, and mine came today, too! I'll get the final build done in 1-2 days and look forward to comparing them to my XPA-2!

Looks good k. Pledge on the smudges right next to where you took the sides off works great. Rack looks good too. I'm wanting to build one soon just like that. It was good to meet you at the fest, I was the guy talking to you about how great our women were.

If this is a condo/apartment, it will create a seismic sound and will rattle the foundation of the building. Your next door neighbor (apartment/condo) will call a cop for such very loud sound.

My guess about the screw in one and not the other, the one with the screw the face plate probably isn't true, the screw keeps it flush. One screw way cheaper than scraping a finished face plate.

Matt, Congrats on the new XPA-1 'blocks. I love mine, and I am glad to see that you are enjoying yours as well. These amps really are over engineered...one thing that really drew me to them. BTW, neither of mine have a screw near the face plate. I haven't seen that before, but unless OCD bugs you, I wouldn't sweat it and just kick back to enjoy the music.

Are they sequential serial numbers? Really curious about the screw issue.
Try Wish You Were Here off the Immersion Blu-ray if you get an opportunity. That's a really good mix of it in 24/96. So is the corresponding DSOTM Blu-ray.
