Hi guys, I've been wanting to upgrade my woofer. Its an Elemental(rip) a5-350. 500w ported 15. It thunders and shakes the house as is, but I wanna get a bit nutty. I do 80% gaming, 15% movies, 5% music I want the airplane bomb runs in COD to be realisticly loud. Like blow me off my couch type stuff. haha Anybody here know anything about Funk Audio? Its based in Canada and so am I. From what I've seen and read its pretty damn nice and I am really leaning toward them. They are using TC Sounds woofers in some impressively built boxes. Big amps too. I had my eye on the 18.3 Its $3400 shipped to my door. www.funkaudio.ca/18.3.htmlA single driven 18 with dual passive 18s. I know its way different, but how would 4 Xref 12s fill my basement? Same price so.... Picture my room in a T shape with the TV off to one of the ends of the top of the T. The top of the T wall is 40 feet by 15 feet. The base of the T is 10 feet wide extending down 13 feet. This gives me 730 sq ft in the room. The thing is I am sitting in a small area of the basement of 15x13 with my back to the open basement. Carpeted concrete floor. Suspended tile roof at 8 ft high. Sheet rock walls. I don't like playing the waiting game.. refering to the Xref 15. Who knows when that will be available.... I may regret that as I love all my Emotiva gear so far. An Xpa-2 for the 8.3s and an Xmc will be coming my way in the future too. Any advice would be nice... $3500 isn't cheap. Any other brand suggestions?
