Awesome, thanks... good to know one can get them from there. I love their "retail" prices...

People sure ask the funniest questions... :-) I'll guarantee you this, as long as you have made a positive, solid connection, it makes no difference at all....... Perhaps objectively it doesn't but then this hobby is hardly about objectivity. ;D

maybe its a funny question.... but clearly its relevant just glance at the UPA threads and spade connections and people using a knife to whittle down plastic fittings etc etc... your right.... as long as you have made a positive, solid connection...
Which I believe was the entire point of the conversation to this point.

If you buy the right size spade you will not need to do surgery on your 5-way post. Check with Emotiva Tech Support if you are in doubt which size spade to use with your particular amp.

Bare wire connections for power amps and speakers have never failed me once in over 25 years. Not very elegant. But there is no other connection that is more direct & secure ;D

But there is no other connection that is more direct & secure ;D I have used that method many times over the years. Only I tinned the bare wires with silver solder to avoid loose strands causing shorts.

GLS locking bananas are great and my favorites to use. BTW, GLS is Orange County Speaker's exclusive house brand, no matter where you buy them ebay, amazon, etc. they all come from Orange County Speaker www.speakerrepair.com I live just a short way from Orange County Speaker, they have a nice store and are a family owned and operated business that was established in 1968, nice people.

I used GLS Banana Plugs for a couple of years but never could get them as tight as I would have liked especially on the XPA-1’s they always had a little wiggle to them. I ordered the GLS Spade connector for the L/C/R for both ends and it seems I can get them much tighter and they don’t stick out as far. I am using #10 fine strained copper wire with them and they work great very happy.
