The power of the XPA-5 is limited only by your imagination. Dream it and it will be. Well that's how most stuff in the audio world works, right?

Especially if you add the Emotiva UCT-1 (UniCorn Tears generator)

That link results in a document that is terribly written. It claims to be a manual for the XPA-5, but then the Table of Contents is for the LPA-7. WTF? Looks like they started with an LPA-7 manual, made some changes to make it an XPA-5 manual, and didn't proofread it very much. As mentioned, the specifications section claims 250 watts/ch. into 8 ohms and *440* watts/ch. into 4 ohms. Additionally, the input impedance figures were dramatically higher than the current specs. 47k ohms for the unbalanced vs 33k ohms for current specs. I saved it to my hard drive just for grins... -RW- RW, As we know..."...welcome to Emotiva manuals". Not well written and definately not written by a tech manual writter. They are generally a waste of the paper. At least this one is not as bad as the UMC-1 manual!!!! Did they ever add a section explaining how to change the tuner between Internation and North American frequencies or do you still have to spend countless amount of time searching the internet? Two of my UMC-1s came set for international frequencies, I e-mailed Emo with no response and then called with no luck. They had to check with Lonnie as they couldn't understand what I was talking about. The tuner was a tuner and the implication was that I must have had some kind of problem not understanding how to "tune in" a radio station. LOL CH
