I have both the XPA-2 and XPA-5, I also had the XPA-3. While the XPA-3 and XPA-5 sound absolutely identical, I feel the XPA-2 outshines them both for 2 channel music. Not a huge difference by any means but the XPA-2 seems to reveal a little more detail and there is also a slight difference with the XPA-2's bass which I would say is better controlled and slightly more refined.
Not as much of a difference for HT use but the XPA-2 is definitely a little nicer for music.
