#405 has a point.
I'd URGE anyone who has taken such an amp apart to POST a couple photos.
I'd say that if I had the board in front of me, I could easily do a solder / resolder job and be good.
BUT? If if is something else.....LEDs are a high reliaility part, after all, that might not help.
Also? If getting TO it is a Chinese Puzzle Box, than I'd also bow out......

Feedback from Emotiva Tech- "The LED's in no way affect the actual amp stages. They are simply there as a way to show you the status of thins and they are driven off a micro-controller on the front panel. So there is no direct connection of the status LED to the amp module. It is rare, but we do see an LED fail from time to time."
So last night I ran a speaker function test with my XMC-1, everything was fine, including the RR Surround speaker connected to the output with the bad LED. It has nothing to do with connections, and I checked all cables, speaker wire, terminals, etc. That is peace of mind. So my options are to send it in and pay $$$ for shipping on a $2 part, try to fix it myself, or pout a little more and get over it. was just wondering if anyone did a replacement themselves, and what was involved. I am no novice round electronics, but know when to not pursue something that could just compound functional issues on a $1800 amp.

Still two DIY possibilities.
1. Amp is Chinese Puzzle Box and if taken apart, becomes a nightmare of reassembly. This is typical modern engineering. Like my old FORD, which needed 2 or more hours of labor to change a DOOR SWITCH which should never have failed in the first place......
OR
2. Amp was designed in such a fashion as to be fixable. Board can be gotten at without a nightmare of taking it apart.....than reassembled without heartburn...
