upgrading my theater system....want a dedicated Amp for the polk audio CSiA6...but see this amp is 250W.
I've read dont want to under perform the speaker but what I have so far my other speakers the amp matches the specs For example if my back speakers is 125w, got am amp for that my fronts polk 300W got the XPA-2 for those
so if I break the trend will cause problems in the long run for the center speaker if volume peaks?

Nahhhh, I've run my Monitor Audio RX6 towers with the UPA-500 and they sound sweet, towers are 6ohm's and rated for 40 - 125 watts and UPA-500 should put out 100 watts at that rating, amp doesn't need to match the exact speaker rating but it's always good to have some headroom for sure.

It's better than connecting a lower power amp to it. You will hear distress before the Polk blows due to too much clean power.
