With a SPL meter I measured the level at listening position: 90 dB is 4 lights light. The SPL meter was set at C-weighting and slow-response.

With a SPL meter I measured the level at listening position: 90 dB is 4 lights light. The SPL meter was set at C-weighting and slow-response. SPL isn't all that useful as your speaker efficiency and impedance make it difficult to correlate a meaningful reading for others. Measuring the voltage at the back of your speakers or amp when each light is on would be more helpful - however, you don't want to run test signals through your speakers at high levels.

Sure, this method is not about measuring the watts ;-) I wanted just to share the results of my non-scientific measurements.
