I only own 4 or 5 BR's. Mostly buy DVD's when on sale at ridiculous prices. Here in the Chicago area, the Metropolitan Library System allows you to pick just about any DVD out there, for free. Many BR's also, but the wait is much longer. They even send them to your local library, no travel involved.
Worst Buy prices in general, are laughable. And they wonder why retail is going down?

Red box for movies. I only buy concert/music blu-rays and most of those get purchased at the local Fry's. I buy at BB when they have it and I want it right now! I have noticed that BB does not have national pricing and can be competitive here in Central Indiana.

One must be a bargain conscious buyer. I buy CD's, DVD's and blu-rays at Best Buy when they have a special sale price. For example, yesterday I purchased House Season 8 blu-ray for $22. Yes I use Amazon for the majority of purchases, but there are many vendors out there including Best Buy that can offer better prices on select products from time to time. It is called market competition.
Best Buy also has some exclusive packaging deals and may include some exclusive specialty accessories along with the blu-ray, if that is your desire.

I only hit up bestbuy when they have sales. I usually do amazon since I have prime and most of the time cheaper than anyone. Like someone said target does usually have good deals when first released and sometimes get bonuses too.
The dvds only get used if it is a kid movie. Ill rip it to an iso and give a copy to the little one. As far as the digital its nice to have too but usually forget about it lol.

(Though I made an exception for all of the old Three Stooges shorts! ). The Audio & video quality of DVDs is just too poor compared to Blu-ray, and I tend to be very fussy about my audio & video! I insist on the best movie experiance whenever its available.
