Man, this thing surprised me. Right out of the box it certainly has a presence. The small box and big sound seem incongruent but soon you realize you have a really high quality subwoofer.
This will take some time to place and tune properly. Given the initial response, some tweaking on the LFE / subwoofer output within the pre/pro may also be needed.
With respects to the connections I suspect I should have this connected to a R/L subwoofer output vs. the LFE out on the pre/pro. We'll give that connection a test later.
The carefully done and protective packing job we've all come to appreciate from Emotiva was in evidence. I initially thought that I didn't receive the feet and the power cable until I lifted up the bottom piece of styrofoam inside the second box. Alas, there was no manual. I wish Emotiva would consistently pack manuals with their products. It almost seems hit and miss these days.
Inspecting the unit I found the slightly flat, vaguely industrial finish to be well done and very pleasing to the eye. It certainly helps it blend into the background to the point that you are left with is the pleasant sonic force of the sub and you aren't staring at a large, faintly obtrusive box.
More on this unit later as I read up on the setup and tuning of this wonderful box, then give it a good workout with some of my reference material.

Congrats on the new sub, you're going to like it. The XLR output on the umc-200 is a sub output, it is already summed L/R +LFE. Why do you want to use the RCAs?

My mistake, misread the UPA to read UMC in your sig You are correct, they are small enough to allow for two of them. I just hand to find the time to get REW setup and run some sweeps to correctly position the second one. It would be very hard to set those PEQs by ear.

No worries. I have a R/L Sub Out on the back of the Integra so I will be doing some testing tomorrow as noted earlier. I've been putting things back together with some wire management on the side. What a mess!!!!

OK...I've been fiddling with the setup on the XRef and have not been able to set it up to my liking. I don't think it's the subs fault at all and that it's all on me.
So anyone out there who has one, are you using the settings on your pre-amp dictate how the sub responds or are customizing settings at the sub end?
Are you using an LFE out from your pre-amp or some other connection?
I truly do expect this sub to work out just fine for me as long as I don't mess things up! LOL
Thanks.

Use your Integra's bass management and room correction first and see if that does it for you (it should). Otherwise you can play with the subs crossover and connections, but the Integra should integrate it into your system/room just fine. Be sure to re-review your pre-pro's manual on doing the pre-set up prep of the sub, etc. Good luck!

Thanks!
A couple of things came to mind after I sat and thought about it a while. Then a call to Emotiva and a call to my local audio store that sold me the Integra really helped.
Couple of basic steps, sort of a back to the beginning approach are needed:
1. Location - new sub, may want a different location. So I am going to put it where I sit and move myself around the room, sitting on the floor. My watchcat Lucy will wonder what the heck is going on but that's where I gotta start.
2. Once a good location is picked, I'll run the Audyssey room correction again.
Now, I was also advised that I have to decide which end I want to control. I was trying to do both at the same time and that don't work. I've decided to control it from the pre/pro end vs. the sub end. So, I'll do a couple more things:
1. I'll set the sub DSP control to "Direct".
2. I'll open up the speaker settings menu in the Integra and tweak on the frequency settings for the subwoofer out.
Now that I understand the process, this should be a lot easier!
