Speaking of selah sue, here she is one of the more creative bands I've seen. Nice clip ... and a Flying V Uke!

Great article. I have to say that another article about Dan and Emotiva added the last drop and I went for 2 XPR-1's a month ago - www.stereophile.com/content/emotivaHere is the Dan's sentence which finally won me: “We can’t change the world, but we can change the parts that we’re involved with. We want to reinvigorate the hi-fi hobby by creating products that are actually accessible to people who want better sound.” I like the passion!

WOW what a great article, i had the same experience talking with Dan at the 2011 RMAF show. Just a straight shooter and chill guy. Sooooo different than all the other salesman at the show. It was refreshing to say the least.

I just got my new Stereophile for March 2013, and Dan Laufman/Jade Designs is featured in Stephen Mejias' column "The entry level". Stephen visits Jade headquarters in Franklin, listens to the XRT 6.2, AirMotiv 4 and Stealth 8 and is very impressed with the facilities and Emotiva's philosophy of providing Audiophiles with High End sound at very reasonable prices. Also meets VP for engineering Ray Dennison who is putting the final touches on the XMC 1 media controller. BTW, I had no idea Dan worked with Cary Christie and Arny Nudell in the early days of Infinity. Those were some heady days, in the early years of the High End. Dan: 'We can't change the world, but we can change the parts we're involved in. We want to re-invigorate the Hi-Fi hobby by creating products that are actually accessible to people who want better sound". Great Article-

My copy just arrived in today's mail, so it looks like I've got something better than the 'usual Stereophile fare' to look forward to reading then!

So am I only the one who found the article offensive ? "...focused on making great audio gear that people will love, and that they can afford before they’re forty.” I was 40 when I purchased my first Emo gear! - so offended!!!!

You're offended mate? What about me you young whippersnapper? I bought my first Emo gear 4 years ago when I was 64! The Beatles (Sir Paul) wrote a song about me.

Loved the article. The fact that Dan was involved with Infinity during 70's era High End says it all. That era, and Infinity produced some of the best audio components ever - at semi-affordable prices.
Hat's off to Dan. I have a new level of respect for Emotiva. To say nothing of my XPA-2 amp, that just KILLS.

Dan appears to be the main reason Emotiva is becoming such a common name in the affordable audiophile world. I too like watches that are crazy expensive but with the economy of the past few years I no longer can waste money. Thanks to Emotiva's team for making my love of music and movies something I can afford without sacrificing sound quality.
