Thanks for the advise on xpa5 but I pretty certain about the adding an additonal zone. All the other rooms have mini system. So I guess it shall be the xda3 thn. Any idea when the xmc1 will be released since I tot umc200 is aso outta stock and might as well wait out for the xmc1. Any difference?

Can I check if I were to head for the XPA5 and going for only 5.1, what can I do with the additional 2 channels, leave it and if need be upgrade to 7.1 in future? To recap, the front R+L will be handled by 2 x XPA1 with XSP1.

If you're a lot into music, and if you you're an audiophile I'd go with XPA-5 and 2 monoblocks for the fronts. This is the setup I have and I am very pleased with.

Thanks jjmatrix, guess i'm sold. Only question burning is how will this setup sound with the MA RX6s. A case of wanting but afraid it'll sound bad! Life is such...

Thanks jjmatrix, guess i'm sold. Only question burning is how will this setup sound with the MA RX6s. A case of wanting but afraid it'll sound bad! Life is such... You're welcome; what makes you think the RX6s will sound bad in this setup? I would think contrary; the only downside I see is that you're gonna have a lot power going into the speakers, which have a recommended amp power at 125W... so no messing around trying to see how loud they can play . Also, if you buy Emo new, you'll have the 30 day in-home trial; I know it's a pain to ship back etc... but the option is there. However, I really don't think you have to worry.

Don't fret over this, JuzzMe, those speakers will sound mighty fine with the amplification you have chosen...

That's it guys, thanks for all your inputs. That shall de DA combos that shall find it's way into my new place. Guess I have to quit this forum so that I might not get 'poisoned' into some else.
Opps, looks like I can't yet, now comes the connection. Is it better to connect the XSP1+ERC2+2 XPA1s with the XLR (read: balanced)? Any difference it I go the unbalanced route?
You guys have been a tremendous help!

If you are running long (> 20 feet) cables from the pre to the amps, you should use the XLR connections. Otherwise the RCAs will work perfectly, just buy decent ones - see MonoPrice Premium or BlueJeans Cables for appropriate cables.
Again, this is not something to fret about, XLR is really more of a marketing hype point than anything else...
