Well, I did receive them yesterday with one slight hiccup. I was shipped a Walnut finish instead of the Rosewood I ordered. Working this out with Legacy, but I will post pics when I get the proper pair. Attachments:

First impressions: I'm giddy.
They sound as good as I remember. I don't think I'll need to play around with placement much. Some bass treatments may be beneficial as I think there's either a peak or I'm just not used to this much bass capability. They get neighbors-will-hear-me level of volumes at -10 on the XSP-1 playing back a Telarc CD on XLRs and the XPA-1s.
Didn't test too long last night, but played Telarc's Great Film Fantasies on SACD (Imperial March, Battle of the Heroes, Lord of the Rings), and the drum solo on Legacy's demo disc.
Subs? We don't need no stinkin' subs!

I agree the walnut finish looks quite stunning, but I'm not the one living with them. I bet the rosewood would better accent your cabinet. Let us know what you think once you've had some time with them, as I'm quite interested in the Air Motion Ribbons!

Another view. Dominates my living room for sure. You sure aren't kidding. Sheer domination! Gorgeous. I agree I would go for the rosewood finish. Good job on your placement! Well done. The side couch may subtly interfere with the sound btw especially for a speaker of this caliber. Very jealous...

Sweet. Enjoy them, sounds like you are off to a great start, sound-wise. Amazing they custom built these for you and shipped them to CA from IL in the wrong finish. Doh!, as Homer Simpson would say.

Finally! The Rosewood finish is just GORGEOUS! James from the LA Legacy studio came up with a truck to box up the Walnut pair and help me install the Rosewood pair which arrived that morning. Too bad I didn't have more time, or I would have hooked them all up for a quad Focus 4 channel surround setup! Also bought a 6 foot pair of their Kimber transmission lines at Legacy's cost. Very nicely made! Now I have to mod them for the long-spaced XPA-1 terminals because communication failed somewhere. Doh! Attachments:

Those are some mighty fine looking speakers.
I wish that the sound could be bottled up so we could all share in the listening experience too.
I'm assuming you're loving them.
Congrats!

Oh yes. These are awesome. Any source material, any volume level. Clean, well located, non-fatiguing sound.
Eventually, I will add a Marquis center, Studio rears, and a 65" TV. I'm in no particular hurry though.

One thing I've noticed is that the meter LEDs on the XPA-1s will get up to about 50% at more than adequate listening levels, at -20dB on the XSP-1. How much more headroom do I have?

I just wanted to comment how gorgeous those Legacy speakers are. Even better, a rep came over to assist with the installation. Really cool! Thanks for sharing with us, I know they must sound exceptional. Enjoy your sonic bliss. EDIT: Oh yeah, update your sig!

The rep brought me their new demo disc to play with, too. Sig updated.

To follow up with the initial review, I hooked up my Outlaw RR2150 stereo amp to the Legacys.
When rocking out pretty good, the amp case gets hot to the touch. I got it to barely start clipping on the bass drums on Imperial March at a good volume, so more wattage is definitely good for these speakers. The Emo amps are loafing and cool to the touch in comparison.
I would say you can "get away" with a 150w/ch into 4 ohm amp with the Focus, but if you want to not worry about blowing something when you want to really rock out, have the amps to back it up. I will say that the Outlaw's sound quality while driving the Focus was excellent though.
