Well placing the 2nd sub up front will give you more bass but it may not do much if you have a room node. The only way to tell is to measure with something like REW. But don't worry, experimentation if the fun part. If you do have to put two up front, think about some bass traps. Start at the corners.

May I suggest (3) subs....(2) up front wired directly to your left and right main speakers then run them full range and place the third one behind you as an LFE. Stereo bass and tight real sounding full range and the one behind you is icing on the cake for movies. 10" fast acting up front and 12" + behind you.
