However, I believe the OPs question would be between leaving it "Powered On" (un-triggered), or triggering to "Standby" (triggered-off). There would still be a noticeable current difference between the two.

Leaving on permanently elektronic devices that are not used is nothing else that a waste of resources. Imaging the billions of tons of CO2 and climate warming gases that are produced world wide by this for just nothing. By the way, a XPA-5 that is left on, consumes about 80 Watts. In standby, means using the the power on by a Trigger Signal, it is only a little above 3 Watts, at least it was so with the Gen 1 versions (230V) where I measured this. Construction wise, the power consumtion cannot be a lot different on the Gen 2 versions, except for the standby consumtion that might have been reduced, also to meet European legal requirements. Wasting resources is nothing really exaptable today. Not only that it cost your money, but you potentially harm others by doing so.
