True, I have been waiting for the XMC 1, but thought it might be the time to make the switch and use something new for awhile until the XMC 1 comes out and is stable, then maybe sell it in a year. Its, getting tougher and tougher not to have HDMI support today.
I figured I would just give them a call in the morning.

Think I have decided to wait for Feb. I was thinking if I picked this up for now I could always sell it, but probably hard to find a buyer...

Not doubting your decision as only you can decide but I don't think you'd have trouble selling the unit. It is a veritable bargain for what it does and there's always a market demand for those.

Maybe you are right on selling it later. I will have a DMC-1 to sell too so.... Also, we are leaving for a long trip this weekend and I missed the window to get it shipped in time so it could be delivered before we go. So it looks like I will have to wait until I return to order it.

Is anyone going to a 2 wire amp trigger with the 7030, like to an MPS 1? I was looking through the user manual, and I think its a 3.5 Mono plug on the processor end, is that correct? I might have to make one.

I might have to make one. A mono trigger is the trick. You should be able to find one at Radio Shack. If not, PM me your address and I will send you a pair of mono connectors. Just add a wire and you're done!

I might have to make one. contact tech support they'll send you out one it's a phoenix connector on one end and a 3.5mm mono plug on the other. They sent one out to me free of charge when I questioned them about it. My PT-7030 actually included a trigger cable for use with the "newer" amps

Thanks so much all, I think I am going to order it tomorrow and just pay extra for 2 day shipping whatever at this point. I was reading more on these triggers, but I did not see an amp trigger or any way in the menu to set it to trigger when the processor is turned on/off, it looks like it only triggers inputs? How did you configure a trigger for your amp?

I did order an 3.5 mono to RCA already and thought I could just cut off the 2 RCA;s and I looked at the amp connector and there are 2 screws so I am thinking I should be able to tin the ends and use the connector I already have maybe(?), we will see when they get here. I also ordered the Mic folks mentioned in the thread, and already had REW, so I am getting close and will hopefully have everything here by Thur/Fri

Thanks, there must be something I missed as I do not see that mentioned, nor does it look like there is a selection for it. glad its the default then and maybe once I see the screen it will make more sense.

Does that show triggering amp, as it looks like its being triggered by HDMI 2 input? I would have thought there would have been something like an option that has amps, so that it triggers once when the processor is turned on then once when processor is turned off.

if you plug it into trigger 1 it will turn on and off with the processor. Personally I prefer the signal turn on that the mps amps offer that way only the modules that are needed turn on.

The triggers active line is where you set which triggers you want to activate on the current input, you can set different options for every available input. But like I said before all of mine were active from the manufacturer. I can switch between all my inputs and my xpr never shuts off until the processor is shut down

My MPS 1 has only the 1 trigger, you have an MPS 2? I was not aware if the MPS 1 had a signal turn on. But I went back to the manual and you are right. Even it does have signal option, might have to try that with the new processor. My setup has worked so good for so long I havent looked at it.
