I got my 2 channel system electronics finished today with the delivery of the XSP-1. All "Blue" including HTPC. Now I just need to finish my DIY speakers.

Very Nice! XSP-1 / XDA-2 envy. Really like your Fractal Design HTPC case.

I was very tempted by the xsp during the secret sale. Must not call to see if they are still available.

Wow I love it, have you thought of say a ERC-1/2 for the setup...?, I really want the XSP-1 but waiting for XMC-1 like most and need to keep it simple...

Looks great Chuck! The HTPC's clean lines and blue light fits in nicely with the EmoStack, and the curved fronts on the shelves soften the look. Cool!

VinylFreak: Yes, the Fractal case is a great HTPC case. Just looks so much like a piece of audio gear. Sports a SSHD boot disk and internal 3TB. The external 3TB is backup. greenwiki: I couldn't resist the XSP-1 on the warehouse sale. I won't be using a lot of it, but I absolutely needed it for bass management as I'll be adding subs later. Who knows I may have to get a turntable and dig the dozen boxes of LPs out of the basement. creimes: No real need for a ERC 1/2. I haven't played a CD directly for over 2 years. axis: Looking forward to the new BS CD. For now I'll be happy with my HD copy of Paranoid. The HD track of Fairies Wear Boots is a killer!!!!!!!! Future: First I have to finish my DIY speakers. They've been a long process as I've had a bunch of interruptions. Next: - Emotiva XPA-2 to replace the UPA-500
- Build 2 subs
- XPA-2 becomes sub amp - UPA-500 returned to service (temp)
- Either pair of XPA-1Ls or Carver tube power amp to replace UPA-500

Super clean. You should definitely go for the 1L's over the 2 for a fully balanced system!

Is that a blueray drive enclosure? if so what is it? I just have a bare drive sitting on top of mine that looks much nicer.

Looks great from the front. Do you have any words of wisdom for managing the cables in the back? My stack is smaller - no XSP-1, no external HD, and my PC is not much bigger than your blue ray player, but I still end up with a bunch of cabling out the back.

VERY nice system! You will love the XPA-2 once you get it. This reminds me it is time to replace my aging HTPC - it is an older Intel Atom/Nvidia Ion rig that doesn't stand up to what I try to throw at it these days. Time to build a new one. Perhaps I can convince Emotiva to sell me an empty chassis from an amp they could not repair...

The Fractal case looks really great as far as blending in with Emotiva gear. fractal-design.com/?view=product&prod=95Looks great from the front. When I finish the final wiring I will put up a picture of the rear. I need to do things like mount a junction box and trim some power cords to fit!

My 20 cents (overpriced I know); - Emotiva XPA-1L's to replace the UPA-500
- Build 2 subs
- Emotiva launches a sub amp, buy a pair
- Sell UPA-500 or use it in a 2nd system
Cheers Gary

Cheers Gary What I will probably do is take the Anthem MCA-20 and my HT subs for the 2 channel system for a time. I want to wait and see what Emotiva does with the Carver amps before I decide on the final power amps. Somehow I've also got to save for the XMC-1 as I spent that money on the XSP-1. Why can't we all just be rich! ;D

What do you think of your Emotiva analog preamp so far. I think I read somewhere you had some old albums in the attic, not sure about turntable. It is a treat to go all analog sometimes.
I play albums somtimes and enjoy hearing pops and tics. It's like hearing those cicadas bugs in the woods every 17 years. It's like the most nostalgic sound of your childhood in the summer.
I just need a tube amp to make it sound like the old days.
