Dear Lonnie:
Please add together 1 XDA-2, 1 XPS-1 and 2 XPA-1L all into 1 very sleek chassis. Retail $2000. Stand back and watch them fly off the shelf.
Please, please, please
Thanks Mark

That would be one very big and rather toasty box. While I think it is a good idea and probably would sell quite well, the added electronics and heat from the DAC and amps could impact the quality of the analog section. It would almost certainly need a fan as well to dissipate some of that heat from the XPA-1L's.

A tube version with HT bypass would be very nice. 50W per channel would do fine. ...this is the tube amp suggestion section, right?

Something to compete with the Cayin 88t. IMO one of the most beautiful integrated tube designs.

I am pretty sure when I added this thread the Broad title was something like Future Emotiva Product Suggestions. But to better fit the new Broad name just replace the 2 XPA-1L or XSP-1 with some future Emotiva tube product. I just think that a very nice Integrated Amp at a great Emotiva price would be good for us and them. Mark

So the challenge with the original design would be: phono, DAC, and Class A amp in a single chassis. In the tube suggestions there are no phono or DAC, just line ins.
For an SS design I think you could have phono or DAC and no (significant) Class A. An integrated w/DAC makes the most sense, with an external XPS-1 if you need phono. For a tube unit, line ins like suggested would be nice, with maybe an optional phono. I just don't have a grip on how hard adding a DAC to a tube integrated would be.

I’ve been thinking that an integrated amp with digital inputs would be a nice addition to the Emotiva line-up. However, I’m thinking something under $400, geared to more modest systems, secondary systems, etc. It would be an all-in-one unit for folks who want good sound and simplicity on a budget – a unit that you could recommend to friends and family who are not into audio equipment, but want a nice system.
Could Emotiva put a derivative of the XDA-2 and UPA-200 (say at around 80-100 w/ch) in a single chassis for under $400?
A sub out and basic bass management would be icing on the cake.
A second smaller, lower power model would be cool too – something for a small system in a bedroom, office, dorm room, etc.
I’ve noticed that a lot of companies are offering integrated amps with digital inputs, but I think Emotiva could possibly pull-off a better cost vs. performance ratio than most of the others.

With or without a DAC, I'd also be interested in an Emotiva integrated amp.

EVER considered a HYBRID design? Good TUBE preamp section driving a SS amp of maybe 125 to 150 a side.
It could be in a 'manageable' sized package and provide persons with medium and above sensitivity speakers a wonder taste of tubes.
And as I think of it, you don't even need 150 a side. 100 would work fine for MOST applications. The pre should ALSO have a 2nd set of preouts for ANOTHER amp. Make it a duplicate of the amp in the integrated for biamp fans. It's a little more power than I'd suggest, but starting with an XPA-200 would work wonders.
And the more I think about it, the more I think you should have OPTIONAL Tone Control, DAC, Phono and FM modules. Make 'me plug into the MOTHER BOARD.
