I wonder why Emotiva would make a turntable. It is a niche market at best!

I wonder why Emotiva would make a turntable. It is a niche market at best! Why not? They want to offer a global sound system solution.

I wonder why Emotiva would make a turntable. It is a niche market at best! Maybe so, but a "niche market" that has grown by more than 50% per year for the past several years running. The sales of vinyl records is currently at its highest point since 1997 and continues to grow at a consistent annual rate. You might ask this question, and you do have legitimate reasoning for doing so, but I would also ask the same of those who have requested native support for SACD (DSD) in the XMC-1. Same type of niche market, but from a hardware standpoint, everyone will pay equally for that support regardless of whether the end user will use it or not. In this case, if you don't own vinyl, and don't require a turntable, then don't buy one. However, that doesn't mean that Emotiva shouldn't have a solid offering in a very fluid "niche" market for those of use who do...

A turntable can keep a cat amused for hours... Is that a Moving Cat cartridge? No, No, it's only playing a Cat Stevens record.

Is Emotiva will have an anti-slip cat mat acc's for their TT?
I think it is an SPCA rule for all the TT company.

For sure the new Emo TT should pass the 10 pounds cat crash test dummy before approval for the market.

I've always looked at turntables only from afar. But an emo turntable sounds like a winner and I would likely purchase one in the distant future.
