Yves, nice call on the Organic Harmony system, and at $7.5 million for the solid gold version it's likely to be the most expensive addition as well.

Damn! That's the best looking and most expensive soundbar I've ever seen! Surprising that they decided to make it essentially a mono-setup at those prices. Really nice look though.

Polk SDA-SRS, I believe... ... 1.2TL's to be exact. Their massive size and sound have kept them at the top of my short-list. They have all the known mods completed and now sound incredibly lifelike. My plan going forward is to transfer all components into fewer and more modern cabinets that will have the same 6.73 cubic feet of airspace and the exact same front baffle, but have a more contemporary shape, more robust internal bracing and a piano-like finish similar to the next speaker on my list of beauties..... I don't know how you are going to accomplish "exact same front baffle" and "a more contemporary shape" in the same speaker? ...

Driver layout and spacing will carry over from the original case, though there may be a couple inches on either outside edge I can shave off to help get the shape I am looking for. The external shape will be tapered to the rear and the top of the cabinet will have a curved shape that will roll off into the back of the cabinet. Each driver will be isolated from the one next to and below it, however the rear of each compartment will be vented to the passive radiator below. The overall shape I am looking for will combine elements of the new LSi/M line from Polk with the rear aspect of the B&W towers, scaled up to SDA proportions. Also up for consideration is incorporating a series of ribbon tweeters but as of yet no decisions have been made on that. Also carried over will be the large crossover plate at the front, but it too will have a more modern, complex shape, and have a finish on it similar to that used by Pioneer on their Elite series.
It should be a fun project.

These get my vote. But I am biased, I own them. They sound as good as they look.

I assume the top thing is for some sort of omnidirectional sound or a passive radiator? They are the HR-1s from Turning Point Audio. They have an up firing driver for a 360 degree wave front. I had these made in a custom finish, waterfall bubinga. The two words I would use to describe these would be holographic and micro detail. They amaze me every time I listen to them.

Too bad they had a serious flaw. First time I got them in the house and turned them on, there was a loud noise and everything shook. When I regained consciousness they were gone and so was my ceiling.

Honestly, I'm seeing a bunch of VERY expensive looking metalwork that wouldn't seem likely to have much to do with how they sound (although it may make them fly better). I'd have to say that, while they look cool as art, I'm more inclined to prefer speakers that look (at least somewhat) like speakers. I think these get my vote (and always will) for cool looks and nice looking cabinet work. Tell us what you think are the best looking speakers out there. Have fun. Amazing sound is not a requirement. Hopefully this will get people to see more speaker brands. I know "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", but I'm amazed at what some of you consider as good looking speakers. Sorry I'm a year late with this, but considering you drive a Porsche, what you consider good looking doesn't count. Of course I'm kidding. Just messing with ya. Mine's what I consider to be the poor man's front engine Porsche. Here's a link to some pics from last year. You should be able to recognize my avatar. www.the370z.com/2302740-post1794.htmlAnd back to speakers....what, no one considers these pretty?
