Hello;
I have one of the 2 channel XPA-200's that keeps turning itself off for no apparent reason that I can tell. When I power it on, after about 10 seconds it switches itself to standby mode.
There is no remote switch hooked up that would cause it to power down.
Any suggestions?
Cheers Cory

Yes. Try it without anything hooked to the amp at all - including speaker wires. See what happens then add on wires one by one.

Hi Cory, I had this same issue with my XPA-200 back in May. After extensive troubleshooting on my end and communication with Emotiva support, I shipped the amp to them for repair. They ended up replacing several of the 5V components (capacitors, etc.) and the XPA-200 has been working perfectly since then. No further shutdowns. While I do recommend going through garbulky's instructions *, it's likely that you'll have to send in your amp for repair, too. Contact Emotiva Support to get the ball rolling. Good luck! * Important note: It's wise to disconnect the power cable from the amp while going through garbulky's recommended troubleshooting steps. However, once you reconnect the power cable and turn on the amplifier, don't be surprised if your amp stays ON instead of going into Standby after ~10 seconds. This happened to me several times and made it more tricky to troubleshoot. If your amp does happen to stay on, let it stay turned on (in idle) for 3-4 hours with nothing attached to it. Then turn it off and let it sit overnight in standby mode (at least 6 hours). Try turning it on the next day, and I'll bet dollars to doughnuts you'll experience the shutdown issue again.
