So I just got my first turntable in 30 years. Hit a few record stores and am re-engaging in some of the albums that I once had in my youth. The TT is very simple in design and setup. So far so good though I have a few questions into u-turn to double check a few things, like it sounds as if I am playing a RPM's short of 33.

I dove back in to TT after a 35 year hiatus and it's great! Welcome back. I have a silly question, did you read the owners manual to set up your new TT? Nick
ps , mine I've had since 1976,just been in storage

Ok, I looked up your table and at a quick skim I didn't see any adjustments for the TT. I so sorry to have waisted your time but it seems I can't help you. My old TT has a knob to help regulate the speed but I didn't see one on yours or I missed it. Good luck with this. Peace, Nick

Maybe it's just a Doppler effect as we are all zooming along in age.
If it really is slow, you should contact the uturn guys.
One unscientific test would be to play the same album on each.
Another slightly more scientific method would be to measure song lengths.

When you say short of 33, what exactly do you mean? Is the sound a few octaves lower than it should be?

I have toyed around with the platter and resetting the belt and I think I am better now. That said, I did email uturn to see if there are any adjustment options as there are two holes in the bottom of the belt drive which may allow for that. We'll see.

See other post for things sounding a little better after adjusting the belt more evenly across the platter.
