I'm currently running a 11.3 HT system and I like my Bose 901 for the front and Klipsch surrounds for the back. I can't run them off the AVR so they need external amps . I do have a Sherbourn 2/150 amp for one of these two sets of speakers. Should I buy a match to the Sherbourn or get a UPA-500 to feed them both?

I don't see that particular Sherbourn amplifier available on the website, so you're probably going to end up buying one used. That being said, I'd personally opt for the UPA-500 and sell the Sherbourn. You may even end up with a little money in your pocket (not sure how much you paid for the Sherbourn amp). Or you could keep the Sherbourn for another system. Presence channels don't require a lot of power since they typically reproduce ambiance and environmental sounds. The UPA-500's 80/100 watts per channel will be plenty for your Klipsch and BOSE presence speakers.

novisnick, it's a no-brainer at $125. Even the mini-X a-100 on sale costs more. I agree with dally, go for the Sherbourn amp at this point. Thanks for the additional details.
