I was planning on replacing It anyways with a Mac mini Are you set on the Mac Mini? I love my Iphone and Ipod, but the performance to price on Mac computer stuff is just god awful. The only reason I could justify the Mac Mini is if space was an issue then it is pretty hard to beat. Which Mac Mini are you looking at? I might be able to get you a discount at the apple store here in Austin, Texas. The PC is actually my daughters and was planning on replacing it as a bday present for her next month, now that the PC took an early dump may purchase a replacement earlier than I planned. Reason for choosing the Mac mini was the size and sleek look. Plus she really liked it when she was playing with it at best buy. Was looking at this one m.bestbuy.com/m/e/product/detail.jsp?skuId=4840634&pid=1218548287950

Unless you have a monitor you love I'd really recommend getting either an iMac or any of the 13" MacBooks pro or air over the mini.
Unless you really need a spinning hard drive.
I think that you get more bang for your buck.
I have a mini, it's good. But once you add a keyboard and mouse and anything else, the cost starts to creep up.

Hi GreenKiwi, if I had an IPad , would I be able to control the Mac Mini with it instead do a keyboard and mouse? thanks in advance. Nick

Yea so far I tried different power cords, different outlets, made sure everything was connected snug and even tried to jump start the psu with a paper clip. No luck I was planning on replacing It anyways with a Mac mini but the PC has a lot of important files. If you've tried "jump starting" with paperclip and no fans were going in the psu, I'll be 99% certain the PSU is dead. Just replace it, and away you'll go. Everyone needs to save money at this time of year. If something else has gone wrong down the chain, at least you'll have the basis for a new build.
