I was a mere 8 months old when the original Ed Sullivan Show appearance aired, but being the youngest of four boys (and my brothers being 12, 14 and 16 years older than I), I have "grown up" with The Beatles. I credit both my brothers and my parents for the diversity of my musical tastes (because I can get into some Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard too... ), but The Beatles have always been my "absolute" favorite. Their music is timeless and (as we've seen), regardless of the performer, their songs are always "fresh". It's hard to believe that their career (as the band we know) lasted only 8 years, but they managed to impact and change music forever.....

The highlight for me was also "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by Jow Walsh, Gary Clark Jr., Dave Grohl. Dave really tore up the drums and Joe was very good. I Really like Gary,,but I wish ERIC CLAPTON was there instead!

+1 for a Bluray version of the show which my wife and I enjoyed very much. Remember very clearly watching the original show in '64. The anniversary show brought back many memories especially for us old farts. Russ
