While I haven't used any of the newer Oppo's, I believe there is a fairly big difference in the looks and streaming ability between the 83 and newer versions.

I get album artwork just fine. Unless it's a format that doesn't support that like WAV. But FLACs and MP3s show it just fine. And I don't follow what you mean that it doesn't remember where you were in the list. So I am using the Android app...perhaps you are right in front of the screen using the Oppo directly? I usually only stream to zone 2 which is outside. The JRiver app, GIZMO, will display album art if I am not mistaken. And one last thing...I have the BDP-93...not sure how much that matters either. My 93 showed artwork also. I am usually in front of the screen but when using the Android Oppo Media app on my tablet I see the listings and when the selected item is playing it switches to a "now playing" screen with artwork. Now the Android app for the 93 may not do this.

It looks to be at version 1.06 from this past November. The app for the 10x series Oppo players is different and I don't think it will work with the 93.

For those that have a tablet you might also try the free Oppo Media app. It's easier to navigate with it and you don't have to turn on the TV.

Thanks for the info Geebo! Mine is a 93, it sounds like they updated the interface. I appreciate you setting me straight.

My main gripe was how slow and kludgy it was! And I was only running about 700 gigs from a 1 Terabyte disc. I bet they have improved it for the 103.

Different strokes I guess. I have about 1.5TB of media on a 3TB drive connected to my 103 and have no difficulty at all and the quality is as good as it gets. Very convenient, too. After my son saw how it works, he bought a 103. I'll be getting an Olive One (1 TB) next month for a review. I too am looking for a better way of getting to my music on my Mac Mini other than the Oppo 103. It works O.K., -but it is not very elegant. Therein lies the key phrase I'm always looking for "an elegant solution." I must have taken way too much math and science in college.
