What a voice, what a talent, What a loss. I sometimes sit back and wonder how far his career and fame would have gone. Would Elvis and the Beatles been as big as they became ? Unfortunately we will never know.

Agreed. What an amazing talent. I spent my graduate school years in Lubbock where immersing in the Holly culture is readily available. I met and spoke with people who knew him, went to high school with him, played with him, etc. He was a very special musician.

He's still very big here in Lubbock TX. People come here yearly from all over the world for his annual memorial festival.
