a pair of Vintage Polk Audio SDA-2 speakers in my dedicated stereo setup. The SDA-2's are 25+ years old. listening to hi-rez audio from the dedicated 2 channel DAC of the Oppo 105, feeding the Emotiva UPA-200, my mind is always put to rest listening to good music. these speakers, this system even sounds incredible when playing blu-ray movies too! incredibly large, clean soundstage with no end to the bottome end! i will never give them up, NEVER!

Wow, with a turntable like frenchyfranky's I'm not sure I'd even have to play it...could just turn it on and watch it.
That is art!

Not sure of the new limit on "vintage" gear, this is mostly 60's and 70's vintage and it all sounded pretty good at the time, maybe still would. Dynaco Stereo-120 Amp, PAS-3 Preamp, (2) Mark III Amps McIntosh MC-275 Power Amp SAE MK IVCM Amp, IM Preamp, VIB Tuner, VII Equalizer Threshold NS-10 Preamp, 4000 Amp Nelson Pass Custom Head Amp, Active Crossover Nakamichi 1000 Cassette Deck Magnepan MGII, Tympani 1D Planar Speakers Dahlquist DQ-10 Loudspeakers Beveridge Model 3 Electrostatic Speakers Audio Research LS-1 Line Stage Preamp Technics SP-10 Turntable SME 3009 Tonearm Audio Technica AT-1100 Tonearm Sonus Blue Cartridge Denon 103D MC Cartridge Akai 400D 4-channel 10" Open Reel Tape Deck DBX 157 Noise Reduction Sold my last vintage pieces last year (the Dyna tube stuff), still have some vintage guitar gear. Good mental challenge remembering all that stuff.

I once had a Frank Van-Alstine modified Dynaco PAS. I wish I still had that preamp. I once had a Mark Levinson phono pre-preamp. I wish I still had that. I once had a Russel Coco modified AR turntable with a unipivot arm & a Denon 103S Shibata stylus. I wish I still had that. I once had a pair of Dahlquist DQ-10a speakers. I wish I still had those. I once had a pair of Pass Aleph Class-A monoblocks. I wish I still had those. I once had a McIntosh MC-240 tube amp - I wish I still had that. I once had a McIntosh C-41 preamp - I wish I still had that. I once had a McIntosh MC-352 power amp - I wish I still had that. Everything else, I don't regret letting go. With like a million things you've gotten rid of, how do you keep track?

My lovely 1984 J.A. Michell Gyro-Dec. WOW. I agree with everyone else in saying that thing is awesome. Back in 1984 that had to be almost revolutionary, no? Very sweet. Thanks for posting.

If Lando Calrissian had a turntable, this is what it would look like! siggie James T Kirk liked to spin some vinyl too! Jean Luc Picard loved his music, and would crawl/climb inside all sorts of duct tubes in the Enterprise D just to get the right sound. HE was an audiophile! Or should I say, he will be one in a few hundred years?
