For me, there are two who are basically guaranteed to give me a happy feeling in my soul: Louis Armstrong and Count Basie. Louis is obvious, his joy was palpable and infectious. With Basie, it is his light touch on the piano, never playing a note more than needed, but always playing the right note. His light touch on the keys just makes the day better. What about you guys?
