Yes pop. I'd say without your input I may not have chosen this one. Thank you very much for your cents!

Just wondering. Has anyone tried stacking down-firing subs? Is this a possibility with this design?

PSA XV15se came to my house today. Set it up and listened most of the day away. So far I like what I hear. I can't believe a driver so large is so tight and smooth sounding. My 10" sub would rattle and vibrate my house and doors. The new 15" sub does very little as far as rattles. Just clean bass. Very nice!

Great choice. PSA is what I was looking at before deciding to go the DIY route

Interesting. I too was debating between the Dayton 15" DIY Sub, and of course the PSA. I took the "easy" way out. How are the Daytons working for you? It seems like a great set up! Did you use the DIY kit? Or build yourself?
I think what made my decision final was my communication with Tom V. Not that any discussion took place about the Dayton's, just felt the connection was right with the PSA. I believe either way was a win, win.
I just noticed the Behringer iNuke 3000DSP amp. in your profile. I assume you are powering your subs with this? That is a different ballpark than what I did.....for sure.
Just curious, since it looks like you are well equiped w/Axiom speakers, are their subs not up to par with the rest of their line?

I can't speak about the Axiom subs because I haven't personally heard them, but I have seen the SPL charts so I knew it would be cheaper going DIY or another brand like PSA. Everyone I've talk to does seem to love their Axiom subs though. Just a bit expensive for what you get IMO.
Yeah, the iNuke is for the two subs. RMS is ~600W each. Went with a custom built ported box housing both of them. They sound great IMO and play deep. Original plan was to buy a second amp later so I could bridge the channels and have each amp power 1 sub, but after using them for about a week I don't think I will. Just the one amp is more than enough for my 11 ft x 22 ft room.

For what its worth I use Dual Seaton Submersive HP.
I came from Velodyne. In my mind they are a step above. YMMV.
