hello long time i have not made a post in here, but i wanted a rack for my equipment as in my country they are or rare or expensive i decided to team with my father and do it by our selfs. im pleased with the results but of course it has some aspects to improve, so far im liking it

well we call it here ptr its some kind of structure steel and mdf with wood venere

Beautiful looking rack - you gear looks great in there. It is very solid - seems like it would be free from the influence of vibrations. Excellent ventilation. Seems all your bases are covered. What aspects where you talking about that you would like to improve on?

Nice job! I should add what a complete disaster this would be if I were to attempt such a project - nothing would be square and the thing would probably tip over in a most violent way.

hey thanks for your comments, i must say that all wood work was made by my father he is really good at that, and worked together all the time, on the improvements definitely use pounder coat instead of regular painting, im gonna try to use some isolator like sorbothane between the wood and the frame, i don't think its necessary but i would not hurt, the rack its really heavy i wanted like that because im gonna buy a turntable to replace the old one i have (hopefully emotiva if its this year). and i want the less vibrations posible. and for doing another one i would not consider it i have not much time, (takes a lot to sand and finish the metal to paint), i have other projects in mind
