---------------------------------------------- And ouch, Monku...you bruised my psyche! Haha... you know I'm just kidding! But we're all approaching (or have reached?) that time when our eyebrows have more hair than our head. Even our nose has more hair. Yes. I hear you. (I just can't see you)

My age is none of your beeswax! I just had a birthday but can't remember how old I am. I know I was born during a war, I think with the Japanese, Germans and Italians (what strange bedfellows!).

What about us grey haired bald guys (sometimes you just can't win ) I often wonder when all you old guys die who Emotiva will have left for a customer base? Not just Emotiva. High end audio is dying. My 21 year old has zero interest. My 24 year old hears the difference and appreciates it, but won't spend money on it. Ears buds and MP3s. Jeez.....

On the other hand there are more under 40 than over 60, that's a little encouraging. Audiophiles were always a minority, even among my friends (many who are musicians) I'm the only one with a real system. One is using the same B&W speakers I sold him in the 70's (hopefully he's replaced the Onkyo receiver but maybe not), he still plays some vinyl but mostly CDs and only has a system because he loves music so much. Another has just a sound bar on his TV but doesn't know how to get music through it (I'm giving him and Apple TV for his birthday); also just taught him how to rip CDs and sync to his phone, before that he just listened to CDs in his car. Another plays in a few different bands (besides a day job) and only listens to music through some lame computer speakers. Anyway I guess my point is that even for our age we're a minority and there still is an industry we support. I think there will still be 'young people' who like music and good sound, or who want to recreate what they see and hear at the movies.

You can also add to the fact that as the how much have you spent threads have proven even going with a bang for the buck company like emotiva most have spent well over $8,000 on their system. Most people under 30 have a hard time buying a stereo let alone a hi end one.

Hey Bob, Let's not get too far ahead here near the end of the race. I'm just shooting for 75 at this point.
