I did did not know where to post this so I apologize if this is not the appropriate section of the forum.
Soon, you’ll be able to buy products from selected manufacturers on Emotiva’s own e-Store—projectors, Blu-Ray players, speakers, and more. These products have been extensively qualified by Emotiva’s own technical staff, and proven by use in many Emotiva systems.
I saw the above In "E Prove". I would be pleasantly surprised if this section included such things as turntables, quality headphones and a nice addition would be headphone amps. These items of delight are not currently in the Emotiva portfolio. I myself am in the market for a good pair of headphones and while I have received many recommendations from forum members I have not made a final choice and now with E Prove I want to wait AND SEE! Also the idea of purchasing a quality turntable is giving me a reason to pause and consider waiting until I could afford both items but it would be nice to see Emotiva's seal of approval on specific brands.
Thanks

I take it you didn't see the prototype Emotiva turn table? I believe it had a clearaudio arm? Last I heard the project was on hold though I may be mistaken.

I heard they are going to use a CNC Machine to build there own turntable.
Miss Cathy said the company is growing fast and I dare not steal there thunder because they are the ones working hard to make new products for us.

The Emotiva prototype has a Clearaudio Satisfy tonearm. The Satisfy Aluminum tonearm is $1275 and the Satisfy Carbon Fiber tonearm $1525.
I hope they do not make something like the entry-level U-Turn Orbit turntables. The Orbit Basic sells for $179 and the upgraded Plus with an acrylic platter and Grado Black cartridge sells for $299.
As a Emotiva customer I seek value oriented gear. The U-Turn Orbit is nothing to sneeze at for the price from what I have gathered but I believe Emotiva can build a better turntable and give us a good price on it.
I have a silly reason I want a new turntable. My old Technics SL-DD33 has a P-Mount cartridge and the choice of cartridges are limited. I have a Audio-Technical AT92E and I bought a Shibata Stylus for it. This is as good as I am going to get on my Technics turntable.
I would like to move up to the $400 to $600 price range for cartridges and stay somewhere close to $1000 for everything. I would like to have a fully adjustable tonearm if possible. Vertical Tracking Force, vertical tracking angle and overhang. A motor that keeps good speed as I am sure it will be a belt drive.
Boy if they could make something old school with a heavy plinth, that would be cool.

It lists for about $1k, and includes the Sumiko Blue Point No 2 ($300). It has a heavy platter, a good motor, and with the speedbox keeps perfect speed. I don't know the weight of the plinth comparatively, but it sounds great!

Hi,
I have a Marantz TT-15S1 which has a Satisfy Aluminum Tonearm (black anodized) and Clearaudio Virtuoso Ebony Wood Cartridge. I almost bought RP6 with Exact but I liked the look of the Marantz better and I saved about $700 compared to RP6. I'm really happy with it and recommend it.

Thanks, Dave.

Axis and garbulky you guys made my mouth water and a BIG NO on the turntable. Are there more pictures available and if so where? Thanks A big no? But you liked it? garbulky The NO was in reference to not seeing the pictures of the prototype. I DO like the turntable and I am anxiously awaiting to read the reviews, however I think it might be sometime before that happens. I would think that if Emotiva thought that this turntable was ready it would be at the Emofest. Have not read anything about this years Emofest. While I am sure Emofest was a success I do not know if Emotiva has presented to the general public their new addition (Turntable) to the Emotiva catalog.
