I am so completely satisfied with my current setup that I haven't even considered switching/purchasing anything new or different. So many people on this forum seem to swap or switch their gear I wonder if I am missing out on better things.
Any recommended additions or swaps?

I've been going through similar thoughts and wonderings myself. I'm quite happy with what I have but every time I see someone selling something or see a new review or recommendation, I wonder what I may be missing!! So far, I haven't caved and haven't bought anything new for about a year now, which is very unusual for me. I'm kinda enjoying spending the money on other hobbies & as far as I can tell, my system still sounds great.

I wouldn't cave into that sort of internalized, chaotic sort of thinking. If you are happy, then why look for something else? Have you defined for yourself what you are missing? Or have you considered you aren't missing out on anything? I guess the hard part about all that is you don't know what you may be missing as you haven't heard it, right? I see items for sale here and other forums and don't really wonder too much about them. One day I may walk into an audio demo room and get blown away by something but that's gonna take some doing. I do know one thing I am missing out on....a new TV!

I went shopping (online and at a couple of stores) yesterday and found a few plasmas still available(Samsung PN64F8500 NIB, Panasonic VIERA TC-P65ST60 demo) but I was amazed at how far along the LED TV's have come with respects to refresh rate specs (aka Clear Motion Rate) and the blacks. My old eyes didn't really see a huge difference in video quality from the flat screen to the new curved screen units that was worth the extra money. I'm a buyer later on this Fall so now is the time for me to do my research to be able to make an informed purchase decision.

Stop visiting internet forums! It will save you big buck$. Forums can be addicting and can cause a lot of second guessing.

Stop visiting internet forums! It will save you big buck$. I love this bootman. So true. The more I hang around here, the more I purchase. Not a bad thing, as I have acquired some incredible gear, but this forum does tempt me often.

Well you've got room treatments already so you're already one up! Also a nice pair of speakers and a good source. Maybe an XPA-2 or XPA-1 L's coupled to an XSP-1? Note: I wouldn't reccomend the amps quite as much without the XSP-1 though it will still sound fantastic. But honestly, if you are happy now, just let yourself and your wallet relish in it Because you will upgrade someday - not because what you have is bad or anything. But....just because you will!

If you are happy with your sound system honestly please leave it as is. IMO if you are unhappy with the sound of your system then you should make changes. For me I've bought and sold gear because I was curious about things. Buy Try and re-sell. It can be a vicious cycle that is hard to get off of. You can also lose money that way.

No use asking for advice... I think you just have to get it out of your system. No matter what people tell you, if you are curious about new equipment and feel that it is going to make an improvement to your system, then nothing anyone says is going to get that out of your mind and you won't rest easy until you try it. The only thing that may stop you is your wallet or lack thereof, but even that doesn't work in most cases. I've certainly had my share of equipment! I don't regret purchasing any of it, either, despite my later selling it for something "better." It's all just been part of this journey of having audio as a hobby. But for the time being, I think I've finally gotten it out of my system. (yeah yeah, I know, I know ) I really have no interest in purchasing any more audio gear. The "return" on my money has not been so much better sound, but the satisfying my curiosity. So as of right now (and that's the qualifier: "right now"), I ain't interested in any more gear. But it took a while (and lots of $$$) to get to that point.

I agree one can get valuable info shopping online or even at a local store. However, specifically plasma's usually are not impressive to most folks by their PQ in a very bright demo room. Most folks will choose the brighter and more color saturated LCD/LED TV's. I only buy TV's from a source that I can test out in my own room at home and then return, no questions asked. That is why the last four TV's I purchased for us and my sister were all from such a dealer. All the black level, motion blur, etc. hype I have read for non plasma sets hasn't made much difference IMO. I immediately eliminated 3D and now 4K LCD/LED's from some careful evaluation at stores.
