On that note Nodscene, I will agree on the M-Lores. After having the Pendragons in room I am really wondering what Eric's less expensive options offer. I don't have any need to go smaller as my room will home the Pendragons just right. Based on what I am hearing I believe the M-lores might just be one of the best values period, assuming they carry the same styling the Pendragons do. What I am noticing with the Pendragons is that they are absolutely effortless. No matter how loud or low I am listening they don't loose detail. With the M-lore it would be awesome if you could home 5 towers. Same speaker all around and exact ear level. You should shoot him an email to find out. I'm sure he will be happy to make recommendations for you. I have no doubt it would be mindblowing. Actually another reason I'll probably end up with the M-Lores is that I want a really nice veneer on them. Even if I ever do upgrade they can become surrounds. He actually has a lot more options for veneers than what you see on his website which is fantastic. Just hope it won't be too expensive. Some of these veneers are quite pricey but I think that it will be worth it. From all the reviews I think they deserve to look great as well. Then there are the cap upgrades etc haha. I think I'll leave that for another day though.

The Grey in the towers looks great. Personally, I am partial to the red. I think they are beautiful. Wood veneers have never really been my thing, thank goodness because it gets expensive. I am sure the M-lores are great, but I am head over heels for these pendragons.

Hi Pop,
That's a good customer review on Pendragon. Its 2017 and passed by couple of years, what are your thoughts as of on Pendragons?
In some online forums (audioholics, avsforums) i see people bashing pendragons and some reviewers outlined that pendragons has some design flaws/against laws of physics/doesn't disclose materials used ....
As a consumer who is spending $2000+ all I want to know it is worth the money?
My system comprises of XMC-1, XPA 3, Definitive technology 8060 tower speakers, 8040 center and surrounds. How do you compare pendragons vs definitive technology 8060 series?
Thanks, Asif

I mean its costs $2000 for L/R towers alone. Can we bargain? will it be cheaper anywhere?

Only 1 post in 2017. Maybe he got sane and stopped coming here. I find the less I read about how my system could be better the more I enjoy it.

I'll bet almost everyone's systems here are just fine the way they are. When people report things they do making MAJOR RADICAL changes to the sound quality, I try to take it with a grain of salt anymore. The only thing I personally believe that changes sound THAT much is speakers. But that's just me. And since I ain't changin' mine anytime soon (at least not on purpose), I'm mostly good. So anyway pop, when you get a second check in so we know you're still out there truckin.' Cheers.

Will there be any noticeable/significant difference in how they sound?

To answer the recent question, Yes! The Pendragons are completely 100% worth the $2,000 asking price. Personally, I don't think there is much that can keep up with them under 5k. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat if I had the room for them. Of course, designs have changed with Eric and who knows. He is internet direct and a smaller type company so who knows? I for one am a *bleep* for boutique products. I haven't kept up much with his newer products or design changes, so I can't speak for the past 3 years or so.
