Thanks everyone for your input! It's appreciated. 
With about 24 hours left for the great deal from Emotiva, I'm going to make it official here and say that I'm going to, unfortunately, pass. My heart says yes, but my brain says no. Just too much money for "very little" to "no" SQ improvement in my system. Maybe some day, but not now. Frack I hate maturity!!!!
Going to save most of the dough for now and blow it on my car. Have about $300 worth of things I want to add to it. I'm also not done with room and racks yet, which involves getting a dedicated 20 amp line and the 2 new surround wires (5.1 to 7.1) installed in the walls/ceiling. New racks and new wiring is enough this year.
Basically I'm going to finish all the "in process" projects before sinking $1500 into something I really don't need. Oh well, it was fun thinking about it.
Hopefully, the one thing I think might work out is I'm guessing Emotiva will turn around and sell the trade in components at a lowered "deal" prices. So perhaps when I'm ready, I'll be able to get a used Gen 2 set with a full factory warranty for less.
