How Should Emotiva Share Product Information? Jul 19, 2014 13:39:56 GMT -5

I'm not in the DIYD & DIYD group - that problem can be totally avoided if zero information gets released about a new product. Sure - we all want to 'be in the know' about up and coming products. There are quite a few announced products that have yet to materialize. Subwoofer plate amps with built in EQ. I'd be interested in that. The new speaker line - count me in - I'm interested. And there have been other products announced that haven't seen any further info. Are those ideas dead? At least let us know one way or the other... If you don't announce you don't have to explain yourself. Quit thinking aloud!
I keep thinking maybe Big Dan likes those *bleep* threads. JMHO.
They HAD to give regular updates with the XMC-1 since it was announced way back when - six years ago! Subsequent updates weren't handled well - we all know that. That they've not given any timetable for the RMC-1 tells me they might have learned something since the debut of the UMC-1. I think they were very close with the first few iterations of the XMC-1 - backing off when it was apparent they didn't have quite what they wanted. Kudos to Dan and Lonnie for having the nerve to nix those!
Having no intro information about a new product is the best policy IMO. Did you see how many *bleep* threads there were over the UMC-200? I don't recall any. And for good reason - there was very little info given out by Emotiva. IMO thats how they should handle all future product coming to market.
I used to post here much more than I do now. The *bleep* session threads get tiresome. A thread that might have begun as interesting too often turned into a *bleep* session.
So --- where the hell are my new speakers Dan???
