Received Friday evening, installed the same evening and verified if everything working correctly, exept the sound missing on standby video everything work great. There are two modes for when you turn off the XMC-1, you must make sure that video standby is on in the setup. If you system has to boot from scratch, you have it set to go completely off, and video will not work on standby.

yes, i have it but i have been afraid to tell the wife. my son's wedding is coming in october and i have been bitching about the cost and the drain on our savings. telling her about the xmc-1 would be catastrophic right now so i probably won't have it in place before november. c'est la vie....... tchaik............... I thought the brides family paid for all that. Come to think of it I had to pay for my own as my wifes family did not have a dime and $20K down the drain as it only lasted 5 years.

I was asleep at the switch. Waiting for some new cables to arrive. Hope to be up and running Tuesday or Wednesday. Meanwhile the box remains unpacked.

I have been using a Pure-1 iphone dock that bypasses apples internal D/A circuitry and passes the music to the xmc's dac.
I know it's the cheap mans music server, but with good recordings through my xmc it sounds spectacular!

I think one should be able to change ones vote to the installed option. As noted I had to have at least 2 options for the poll. to the total of both will be how many here (I hope everyone chimes in that has one here).
More importantly is to have a common thread for those with the XMC-1 to see who else has other gear that they have working or not so we have a sort of instant support circle of like minded brand/model users...like issues I had with DSD (never having used it before) others chimed in with limitations of DSD on one or other of the HDMI ports but not host. Solved my problem in a few minutes.
I am finding that most things sound spectacular with the XMC-1...even the Tuner on the few stations I can currently tune in is Americas setting.
looks like the user base is getting up there now which is great to see!
Way to go Emotiva.

Also please remember if you spot a bug or think you have weird stuff going on to check in the Unofficial Bug thread and try to detail a bit about how and what you found. Emotiva can't possibly find all the bugs alone so its good to have everyone consolidate in one place things that are not happening quite right. Some will be due to the way we might be doing things or the equipment that is connected and perhaps unique to your setup alone. In case you missed the link above its here emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/38544/unofficial-bugs-list-discussion-area

Mine was delivered last Monday (8/18) but I have not had time to take down my old receiver and hook the XMC-1 up yet. Maybe this week.

XMC-1 in the house and working. Still learning. Initial review, Nice upgrade from UMC-1, It is a significant improvment.
Along with my XMC-1 I also upgraded to XPA-100's mono blocks for L/R fronts. These were Bi-amped before conected to a XPA-5. Now I have them Biamped with XPA-100's running the top end and XPA-5 running the lows. only 3 channels are used on the XPA-5 so the power is close to one another. My front speaker are the ERT-8.3 and ERM-6.3 for center. XPA-3 is used for rear channels and the center's highs. All front speakers are BI-amped. Surround speakers are MMG's.

In house since early last week, and now mostly working after occupational distractions forced installation delays.
My initial sense is that sound quality is outstanding. Really really clean. I listened to some AIX test tracks last night. Kudos to Lonnie and the development team.
However, I have experienced some of the issues reported elsewhere with v1.1 firmware: - ALL STEREO audio levels are sharply reduced from normal. Issue seems limited to 2 channel sources; others work correctly, as reported. - PASS THRU HDMI in Standby mode also has sharply reduced audio levels. No workaround yet. - Enabling HDMI CEC values causes all sorts of issues, as the Manual warns. 'Lost CP varification' was displayed at one point and it shut down all HDMI video output for a while. I have disabled all CEC options for now.
My system seems to run very warm. I hesitate to say hot, but it's warmer than the XPA-5 power amp.
Still, this ain't no immature UMC experience. Baby Boy all grow'd up !!!

I just got a new old plasma, its a panasonic 65" professional series display th65pf12wk and while its 4-5 years old its showing no signs of use at all, no dust in the fans etc. so this will now allow my xmc-1 to have a proper hdmi tv, my newer 50" panny plasma that will now be available for my music room
Don't forget to vote your xmc-1’s arrival at your house and list your gear.

Humm.. Im in a posting mood. XMC-1 got here yesterday, basic setup is done. I'm a Home Theater guy, and man does it sound good! I think I have about 3000 movies to re-watch I can't even imagine what DIRAC will do to improve the sound quality! UMC-1, XPA-5, XPA-2, 4 ERD-1, 2 ERM 6.2 and an ERM 6.3. Also DTV, Dune HD, Sony Blue Ray Player, media server 20TB Storage) and an Epson 3020 projector.

super duper!
it was very plug and play for me, i just pulled the UMC forward, labeled the cables, un plugged, re-plugged.
Switch it on, set up the speakers (small, large), distance, calibrate the levels, stereo bass management. Then sit back and watch Prometheus all over again. I did turn the level on the subs up a notch or two.
Watched about 20 hours so far with these very minor issues. Plus some background music while working from home.
I am planning to move my subs around a bit, and play some options once DIRAC is ready. But all this will probably wait until i get my neck surgery and recover!
