I live in Sweden and took a chance on Emotiva just before the summer, despite the shipping costs & customs fees. I bought an XPA-2 gen2 and an XSP-1 gen2. Everything worked perfect until last week. I noticed that the XPA-2 had trouble "coming online" via the trigger cable from the XSP-1. There was a short clicking sound, like a relay flapping on/off, but then it came online as usual. However, the problem intensified during the week, it took longer and longer to power on the XPA-2 via the trigger cable. Pushing the physical button seemed to work though. But the other day, the trigger didn't work at all. And when powering it on manually, the LEDs lit up blue as usual, but there was no sound coming out of the speakers I've tried all possible troubleshooting i could think of, but no sound. I'm not in a super good financial situation right now, so paying for the shipping back and forth to the US will be devastating for me. Maybe there's an easy fix, like some fuse that needs replacing or such? Any ideas? Pretty desperate right now

Contact Emo Tech Support and apprise them of your situation. If it is possible for you to apply a proper fix at home I am sure they will accommodate you. And hasn't Emo established a European division by now?

Yes, calling Emotiva is best, but you can also check out the European warehouse / shipping thread. While the warehouse plan is gone, I think the Euro service center is still available in the Netherlands (Rotterdam I think).

Oh let us know what you find out, I have a strange issue with my amp aswell It goes in protection all the time and turns off (without trigger cables) See www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT065ws1gMg&feature=youtu.beIf there is a station around here (Rotterdam) that would make things easy

I had an issue (buzzing noise) with an XPA-100 amp, I live in Belgium so the thought of shipping the unit back to Emotiva, ... yeah !
I contacted their support, they were very helpfull, we ruled some things out, got permission from them to open the amp without voiding warranty and started swapping out PCB's with another unit, found out it was the trigger PCB voltage somehow 'leaking' into the sound. They sent me a replacement PCB and the unit has been fine eversince.
So do please contact them, they are very understanding of the shipping issue and are willing to work with you.

A little update:
It seems like the XPA-2 is fine after all. I got a picture of where the output fuses are located from support. But when i tested them with a multimeter, they were both ok. So i borrowed a small preamp and tried it out with the XPA-2, and there was sound!
So everything points to the XSP-1. Support thinks the trigger card is faulty. But the clicking noise that occurred when the trigger stopped working might have been from the XSP-1 too. So when the trigger "broke", something else did too.
I've now done the following to troubleshoot the XSP-1:
- Tested both unbalanced and balanced outputs - Tested all unbalanced inputs - Tried turning all features on/off (ht bypass, tone control etc) - Tested one fuse (there was two different spare fuses shipped with the XSP-1, so there is probably one fuse somewhere else in the XSP-1 which i haven't found yet)
But no luck, there is no sound signal output leaving the XSP-1 to the XPA-2.

Forgot to update this. It turned out to be one of the two fuses in the front of the XSP-1 (under the metal shroud there). The root cause is still unknown, and the support had something similar happen where the same fuse burned. Personally i suspect something with the trigger, since that's how it started; the XSP-1 having trouble turning on the XPA-2 via the trigger. But after the fuse replacement this has worked flawlessly so far. But i tend to not use the trigger as much as i can and turn the XPA-2 manually. So glad i didn't have to ship things to the US from Sweden

So glad i didn't have to ship things to the US from Sweden Changed the name of the subject. I removed the trigger completely and have replaced all cables + bought a HiFi power filter, just to rule out other root causes. But no luck Basically what happens is that when i power on the XSP-1 gen2, there is relay clicking noises going on. I would expect just one, like on my XPA-2 gen2. Sometimes there are only 2 clicks, sometimes many more - "back and forth". Eventually this seems to burn out the t315 fuses under the front shroud of the XSP. Replacing the fuses and i'm good again for a few power on's. In retrospect, my XSP-1 gen2 has been like this from the arrival, but it took 2 months before the fuse went. I had just moved to a new apartment when i bought the XSP-1 gen2 and XPA-2 gen2, so I didn't have time to play much on it the first two months. So faulty on arrival it seems. A complicating factor is that i live in Sweden, so sending the unit back to the US will be quite pricy :/
