Head over to the local Guitar Center and buy a pair of the Mogami Studio Gold. These are REFERENCE quality cables and priced quite modestly for all they do so well. You'll have 'em forever. I use a pair from my DAC to my preamp. That is exactly what I have done.. The cables are now waiting to be installed on friday when my XMC-1 arrives... |

Another shout out for Monoprice. I bought five XLR cables earlier this year in anticpation of the XMC-1. They look good. Quality is good and they work great.
I also like the Emotiva cables, but I didn't want to spend the amount it would have cost for five.
No regrets.

Cables, schmables! The only criteria by which I judge a cable is its smell! If it smells good, it IS good, end of discussion.
