save your settings and factory reset. This seems to clear a lot of trouble Tony I did that first thing, today I brought my XM radio in and it is hooked up to the analoge hook ups and it also does not have subs when in stereo. It should not matter what the source is or where the speakers are set on the source the XMC is now the controller and splits the signals to the subs or where ever. Its like its stuck in Reference Stereo. Did you try to reactivate reference stereo and deactivate it?

Just wanted to take a minute to post my Dirac findings. Received my code on Tuesday and was surprised to find my MIC KIT on the porch yesterday (shipped on Monday). Make sure you check every day because it appears that the UPS emails are problematic. Now to the good stuff. Installed Dirac on a Win 7 64 ultrabook. Install went fine. When I received and plugged in the USB Mic, it found the mic and installed drivers for "C-media Headset" I guess this is correct because the Mic appears to be working as designed. Can someone else confirm this driver for me. This afternoon I made my first pass with Dirac. No brainer, just follow the program steps, but make sure you use the "change view" settings to clearly identify the correct Mic positions. Toggle back and forth between front and top views. Completed the measurements and created the filter which then transferred to the XMC. It can take a couple of minutes to transfer, but there is a progress bar at the top of the program screen. On to the results.... I am fortunate to have pretty good gear but in a very challenging room. My setup unfortunately must be located in the corner of a large bedroom with my right main only 6" from a wall....really bad location for my 7001 speaker. This location is a real challenge for any R/C system. I have used all the major R/C systems in the last few years (except ARC). They all made my system "listenable" but I knew I was not coming close to getting the sound quality that my gear was able to produce. I really didn't have any allusions about Dirac giving me a "perfect listening experience" but I did hope it would be an improvement. WAS IT EVER !!! The first thing I noticed when I was switching through HBO on my Tivo was a scene from The Saint with a huge crowd in Red Square in Moscow. I immediately found myself in the middle of the crowd able to hear activity all around me. Dialog or activity could be clearly identified as to location and distance... I had never experienced that in my system. I then loaded S&M II into the Oppo and ran through the audio tests. Channel levels as well as the presence of each speaker were all nearly identical. The frequency sweep from the sub to mains to surrounds was near seamless. I tried a few blurays, and both Dolby Tru and DTS Master sounded incredible. Can you tell I am a little excited ?? OK to wrap up. After running Dirac my system NEVER Sounded Like this Before ! I am able to clearly distinguish elements in the sound field that used to be "lost in the mix". I think my best analogy is that I was used to hearing my speakers in the room... now my room (with all its challenges) is placing me in the center of the action like I have never experienced before. Quite a feat in my mind. I know there remains issues that others have with Dirac vs REW and multiple subs.... but at least in my situation Dirac has done an unbelievable job in improving my difficult listening environment! Thanks so much to Flav and the folks at Dirac and to Dan, Lonnie and Ray for being willing to wait to find a "better solution" for R/C and implementing it in the XMC. I could not be more HAPPY. I can only hope that others are as pleased as I am.

Those of you still waiting for their Dirac keys, rest assured that new customers are not put ahead of you. I just got my XMC-1 today (ordered Dec 13th) with no key... just the mic kit.

Hi all, my windows 7 will not automatically recognize the Dirac MIC. After a while, it times out looking for the C-media USB driver and just selects a generic USB driver which the Dirac software doesnt recognize. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

Iirc I got mine Xmc July still no email or mic shipping notice. I had parts shipped last week to me to repair some things and they didn't ship my mic with those so no queue jumping.

I intend to shake the snow off the roof this winter, if my circuit breakers hold. Just landed a deal for Demo/B-stock speakers set, all Seaton Sound: 12C for front three, 8C for surrounds and dual Submersives. 1,000 pounds and 12,000 Watts of internal amplification. I hope the XMC-1/Dirac will do them justice.
I better start doing some pushups to prepare for the delivery. One... Two... Huff... Puff... Enough for the day.

Tony Hi, well, finally after ensuring i had all of the latest windows 7 updates, it recognized the driver (i rebooted as well per your comment). So it is showing up now. I still need to load run the Dirac curves but at least all devices are showing up as they should. Plan to run it on Saturday and will report back.

Let me just say if you haven't heard them before you are in for a real treat.

I received the Dirac shipment December 19, 2014 but I did not receive the Dirac key code yet. Have send an e-mail to Emotiva hoping for a key e-mail soon.

On September 12th Kiethl said Dirac was basically done, could be 5 minuets or 5 days, with needed days for testing. Well if it were 5 minuets it would depend on the tempo - that could account for any delays. Though minuets are usually fairly spritely. Too bad it wasn't 5 polkas 'cause then it would have been ready really quick! I think Emo minuets in announcements are considered lentendo. It's exact date is usually larghetto. And the forum reaction to the tempo is fortissimo and definitely agitato. However, it musn't be forgotten that on both sides there is con amore.

Just called Emotiva and talked to Chad. The Dirac key's are send out in small batches not to overload the Dirac servers. I could not get a time frame for the Dirac key, so the microphone and hardware is just collecting dust.....

What Mark says in that thread confirms what Ansat has been saying here. Will the upgraded Dirac give us similar abilities to what the Datasat has? Or is this something Emo can give us in firmware?
