Can Dirac be used with a Google Chromebook? I'm not the sharpest tack when it comes to Computers. I just bought a chrome book for general web surfing and such, and it works great for that purpose. I'm just wondering if it will suffice? Anyone know?

I'm just wondering if it will suffice? Anyone know? Currently it will only run on Windows, and a Chromebook is Linux. So no. Edit: I should add that I didn't mean to imply that it will ever run on a Chromebook, just Windows or OS X

Got the kit Friday and have yet to receive the code; really not sure why one would come without the other. There was a couple of day hold up for a windows update that wrecked havoc. My original post was to determine if they are going to break the 25 per day (for support reasons) limit due to this hiccup. Tony received my key today @ 4pm-- my kit shipped on Dec 10th , received it on the 11th Tony

So far the only thing I have received is the email today telling me in joyous terms that if I order by the 16th I will get everything I am waiting for now by the 24th. I did not need that.
Might be quicker to return the one I have now and order a new one.
Sorry, just frustrated.

It's hard to be patient when others are playing, but Lonnie says they are busy sending stuff out. Hopefully soon.

I got my Dirac key today. All I can say is WOW. I thought the xmc-1 sounded good before the filters were applied. It sounds great now. I even placed the mic incorrectly on one reading. Good job team Emotiva.

I guess what set me off about the email announcement is that people ordering now may get their stuff before people that were on the Reserve list. I haven't even received the email about my mic being shipped, let alone the key.
Maybe I should stop reading the posts here until I finally get everything in.
Sorry to be such a downer. Will not hear from me again on this subject.
Regards to all.

Sorry for this question, but I just wanted to see if others were getting an email that their DIRAC equipment and software was shipping. I was one of the early buyers on the reserve list and still am waiting for my DIRAC mic and software. I have no problem waiting, but just want to make sure I'm not missing something; as there is only a 30 day trial period from when DIRAC arrives.

Now, I need only to decide on speakers/subs/amps to go with it. A Seaton Sound all around setup is what I'm thinking off right now. Any suggestions to competing bang for the buck systems? Have a close look at powersound barrak ; they just became available down here in Aus and the subs in particular have good extension and spl's . The designer was associated with SVS and very helpful with queries ; say no more If you want active satellites as well as subs though seaton would do ; though I notice you like horn drivers so powersound comes into the picture there www.powersoundaudio.com/Anyway enough o/t ; maybe post elsewhere for other recommendations

Hang in there. We are sending these things out by the hundreds and the goal we are pushing for is to have all of them out the door before the end of the week. So if you haven't got yours yet, you will very soon. Lonnie

When room correction becomes the backbone of your music/HT room, the conventional wisdom of speaker selection and placement goes out of the window for the most part. For example, not only you don't need full range speakers, you really don't want them, to allow optimum speaker placement for stereo balance and optimum sub placement for corrected room loading. The trick however, is finding satellites with plenty of headroom and low distortion. Those are few and far in between, and expensive to boot, as they are usually designed for recording studios. But thanks for the pointer. I'll look into this brand.

Lonnie, Dan or anyone else that knows for certain,
I already have a DIRAC account for the stereo full version of DIRAC Live, will I be able to sign-in and just add the S/N for Dirac Live LE to my account, or should I make a new account with a different e-mail account and password?

I actually tried to create an account and got an error that there was already an account for that user. So I tried picking Existing User and was prompted for everything else. Everything went without a hitch.
