Maybe someone can give me a possible answer. I have an erc-1 that serves as the cd player for two systems. Erc to a receiver from one output side and to an USP-1 from the other. There is no link (other than the erc) between the two systems. When the ERC is on playing thru the receiver and I turn on the USP-1 the audible volume increases on the receiver side. Any ideas?

So that shouldn't be happening. But just a question and forgive me for it: I assume you have two separate speaker systems? One connected to the USP-1 and one connected only to the reciever. would there be any chance that you're hearing an overall sound increase in the room due to two different speaker systems playing.
Or if you have a single system and it's connected both to the USP-1 and the reciever simultaneously - could it be that whatever connection you've got is summing the two together? For instance: do you have y cables connecting both to one amp? Or do you have the USP-1 going into the reciever and somehow summing the inputs up on the reciever side?

Separate systems, one is erc -> receiver -> speakers (set A). The other same erc -> usp -> amp -. speakers (set B). 2. The usp/ speakers volume are all the the way down on that system, so only one is being heard. So the receiver (set A) is playing thru its own speakers and when you turn the usp on (no volume) the receiver ,set A, side sounds louder, not alot but you can tell. Beats me..... could the amp of the USP be back feeding current thru the ERC?
