I just ordered both pairs tonight, I feel like a giddy school child! Comparisons to follow..... Both will be used with an Oppo 105 as the source. The SVS will be connected to a Crown XLS 1500.

So the Stealths have a Class A/B amp and you going to use a Class D amp with the SVS? Huh!

My guess is that you'll find the SVS / Crown combo to have a very dynamic sounding midrange and tight low end with shrill but tapered highs. The Stealth will sound neutral from top to bottom, have good low end extension, and more listenable, long term with virtually no distortion at high volume.

Great! I think you made a really wise decision ordering both to test out. I know a lot of members here are quick to say "You have to listen for yourself, everyone is different, no one can advise you on what you like" I noticed this as the trend from your last and many other threads. Where I agree 100% that only you can decide what sounds good/better than the other, it is nice to have input. I don't think it is a silly question, or should be treated that way, to ask for peoples opinions between different products. Asking a question in a public forum will sometimes bring up things you never thought about before. As far as "No one can accurately describe a speaker" I find this to be totally false. A lot of us that own/owned the old Emotiva line agree on their general qualities frequently. I see asking for personal opinions/advice/review on a speaker to be the same thing as reading yelp reviews of a restaurant, or reading reviews on products on Amazon. Some of it is total B.S. but there is a lot of useful information in there. I for one would like to see the forum more in a direction of "You should order both to test out. However, I have owned the Stealth6 and they did "......" very well. Something to consider between the stealth and SVS would be "....." " This is all helpful and useful information. You now have user experiences that you can formulate an opinion on. If a restaurant has 1 star on yelp and has been reviewed 100 times I am not going to try it anyways. There is a standing trend that the restaurant sucks! I would feel grateful that others had taken the time to share their experiences so I don't waste my money/time. Anyways, rant over. I look forward to your decision! I will have the Stealth 6 in my home shortly.

I have the exact stands and was thinking about using them for my LR when I get the Stealths. Are your stealths high above your ear level now? response is good?

Pop: Prior to ordering the Stealth 6s, I purchased a pair of these (see pic) on E-bay shipped for around 60 bucks. They are adjustable in height, and I've had them set at 36" high for months. I wanted to see what height I preferred and 36" is just fine. I've got black felt around the speakers and 1 1/2 inch velcro straps front & back to secure the speakers to the stand plate. Also, I've got sand bags on the stand bases to help prevent them from tipping over.
I've ordered the Ultimate Support MS90/36 stands today @ 36". I'll probably still use the felt & velco, but get rid of the sand bags (wife will be happy), and then I'll fill the new stands with dry sand.
To kinda answer your question, when a Stealth 6 is mounted on a 36" stand, the combo height overall is approximately 49".

I find the tweeter on the Stealth sounds best when at ear level. If it's above, you tend to lose high frequency detail. Nice looking Ultimate Support stands you're getting.

Little update. I've had the speakers for two days now. It's not looking good for the SVS Ultras! " honestly I'm very surprised at how damn good the stealth 6 is."

I'm wondering how the Stealth 6s would compare to my Anthony Gallo Acoustics reference 3.1s (at least as far as they both went into the bass).

Another update... The SVS ultra book shelfs already went back. I have decided to no longer do a shoot out between the SVS and the Stealth 6.
The stealth 6 is an amazing speaker. The tweeter not only matches my previous 3k a pair triton 2's, but seems to surpass it in resolution and ultimate detail. The bass is deep, fast and tuneful.
These speakers are great for both music and movies. During music playback they disappear completely, and throw a pretty large sound stage. During movie tracks they are dynamic, and can slip sound effects to your sides and behind you.
The tweeter, oh the sweet delicious tweeter. Not harsh in any sense of the word, but somehow completely and fully resolving. Every single little detail with none of the forward harsh ear ringing. "Not sure how it's even possible."
The bass, way more than a bookshelf speaker has any right to have. Heavy, hard, and detailed. A little bloated for the first few hours, but has been getting tighter and tighter as they settle in.
The only complaint I have has more to do with my room being just a tad to large for this "pro monitor." Ultimately I desire just a touch more output for my needs, which is why I will be sending these guys back for the stealth 8.
