Magnepan MMG's? Crown XLS 2000 or Bryston 2B-LP. Perhaps totally subjective here unless you have A/B'ed them but I will have two amps to try myself soon, but wanted any thoughts or insight you might have in advance.

I am generally of the mind set that more power = better.
Having said that, I have heard neither of these two amps, so I am unable to make a solid recommendation. I know that probably doesn't help too much, but if they both have low (inaudable) THD+N, then you should be good to go with either one.
Do you currently own both of these amps?

I own the Bryston and I am about to own the Crown 2000.

Best sound I've heard with my Magnepans was hybrid amp with 300 wpc into 4 ohms.

I think that 9 pound Crown amp is going to surprise you! Agreed. I am looking forward to A/B'ing them, but need to vet a good way to do that. I would love to be able to push a button and hear one and then the other, but alas I do not have a switch for that.

Connect source to one channel of each amp. 3. Connect one channel of each amp to one speaker. 4. Play and listen. 5. Post up results here. Cheers Gary

Thanks for answering the actual question gar! To be honnest, your question is a little bit like answering in a GM forum at "what should I choose, Toyota or Mazda?"

Well to be true to the brand, I have an XPR-2 driving my MG III's, but folks have typically been good on the forums allowing a few Mazda questions on the GM Lounge. I did post in"All things stereo", not all things Emotiva stereo after all .
