So I am faced with a dilemma. I love my Magnepan MG III's. They are in amazing shape and sound awesome. However, I am not likely going to be able to effectively and conveniently support a 5.1 and 2.1 setup in my HT room as I have two separate room setups for my room. I have B&W's 602/600's for my L/C/R and when I am in two channel mode I move my Maggies off the wall to put them in place. Not convenient and I can't easily assure my chair will be sweet "spotable" (I know, not a word). So I have a feeler out to sell the Maggies, but wondered, since I am blessed to have a bedroom as an office elsewhere in the house, could I move the Maggies there? I currently have a small listening setup there with MMG's, but could sell those instead and move the big Maggies in. I just wondered, what it really too small a room for MG III speakers? Here is a pic of the HT room and you can see my spacing dilemma. www.dropbox.com/sh/d1s15jdw0j4i6s3/AADfTqwqTPcsaU2vuv4mbEN7a?dl=0

Hello I had the MMG's myself. Loved them. However the III's I think would be better than the MMG's. When you say small. How small? Yeah Maggies like to breath alittle, so some room is your friend especially with some latitude for placement etc.

Hmmm. A bit small yes, but I think do able depending on placement, sitting location, and acoustic considerations. I had my MMG's in a 11 x 18 room for reference. I think Maggie's are flexible enough. Just be aware of confining them too close to any boundary walls.

I had the 1.6's setup in an area about the size of yours. Listening position was approx. 7 feet from the speakers. It was nearfielld listing and took room acoustic out of the equation and sounded very good.
